Abstract

T h e C o v i d p a n d e m i c b r o u g h t a n unprecedented challenge to humanity. It took a heavy toll on human lives and also adversely affected millions of people across the globe. Overall, the hospitals in almost all nations witnessed the arrival of more patients than what they could normally handle. India, being a populous country, also experienced the difficulties of the situation. It is a well-known fact that the healthcare system of our country, like many other developing countries, is far from being well equipped. Not only the pandemic overburdened these hospitals but also adversely affected the medical studies and research activities at the attached teaching hospitals.
