Birth asphyxia is an insult to the fetus or newborn due to failure to breath or breathing poorly, leads to decrease oxygen perfusion to various organs. Our goal was to find the incidence of birth asphyxia and to correlate it with neonatal and maternal factors. The present study reaffirms that the incidence of birth asphyxia is strongly correlated with various neonatal and maternal factors.
