Abstract

Clinical conditons due to antimicrobial resistance causes millions of deaths each year. Infections caused by resistance mibrobes are more difficult to treat requiring higher doses of antimicrobial drugs, aor alternative medications which may prove more toxic and more expensive. Mankind needs global collective action to address this threat that includes proposals for international treaties on antimicrobial resistance.
